Protect what you collect
The security of your bags is at the heart of what we do. As theft and loss become growing concerns in the luxury world, Le Registry was created to bring structure, protection, and accountability to collectible handbags. It offers discreet recovery support, clear ownership records, and effortless access—all in one trusted platform.
Le Registry is free, secure, and entirely under your control. Your data always stays private.

“Unlike watches, stolen luxury handbags can’t be resold casually. That’s why they often reappear on the secondary market where, besides authenticity, a bag’s origin has become a major concern.”
FAQ
Which bags can I add to Le Registry?
If you’ve purchased a bag from SACLÀB, it’s already safely stored in your digital vault. You can currently register handbags from Hermès, Chanel, Dior and Bottega Veneta. We’re continuously expanding the supported brands, so you’ll soon be able to register and protect your entire collection.
How do I add a bag to Le Registry?
Simply log in to your SACLÀB account and head to the Le Registry section. From there, click ‘Submit a bag’ and follow a few easy steps: choose the brand and model, enter the serial number, and upload photos or an invoice. You’re free to include as much detail as you’d like. Once submitted, your bag will appear in your personal vault.
How can I edit a bag entry?
At the moment, it’s not possible to edit submitted entries. However, you can complete any missing information for previous SACLÀB purchases—for example, by adding a serial number to an incomplete record.
How can I remove a bag entry?
Click on the bag you wish to remove from your overview and select ‘Remove Bag’. It will be deleted from your vault.
Why should I add my bag’s serial number?
Your serial number is the most reliable way to prove ownership. Should your bag ever be lost or stolen, this identifier becomes crucial in helping track or recover it, especially if it reappears on the secondary market.
Where do I find my bag’s serial number?
On Hermès bags, look on the back of the Sangle or inside the bag—you’ll usually find a letter for the year of production, along with numbers and artisan initials. Chanel bags made before 2021 feature a sticker inside and, if available, a matching authenticity card. Newer Chanel models include a metal plaque with an embedded NFC chip. Each chip has a unique code written on top that you can use for your entry.
Dior and Bottega bags have a small tag stitched into the lining, typically showing a mix of numbers and letters.
What happens if I report a bag as lost or stolen?
We notify our international network of resale and boutique partners to help keep an eye out. If your bag is submitted for resale on saclab.com, we’ll flag it immediately and issue a report. Should further support be required, we can assist you in liaising with law enforcement.
Is my data secure?
Yes—your information is securely stored and never shared unless you report a bag as missing. In such cases, we share the necessary details with our trusted network to support recovery efforts, always with your permission.
Does Le Registry help with resale?
It does. By keeping your bags and their details organised in one place, Le Registry lays the groundwork for seamless resale. We’re also working on new features like a portfolio tracker and simplified resale tools—stay tuned.
