Jonathan Anderson Unveils His First Dior Bags for Spring–Summer 2026
Key silhouettes centered on a reimagined Bar jacket—cropped, slightly slouched, sometimes layered over sheer or deconstructed tops—paired with mini skirts, tailored shorts, and slim or barrel-legged trousers. The palette mixed soft neutrals, chalky ivories, dove grays, pale blush, and deep inky black—anchored by occasional pops of navy or muted berry. Embroidery and textile detail paid subtle homage to craft: delicate lace insertions, tonal stitching, filigree motifs referencing archival Dior dress patterns, and appliqué touches pulling from Dior’s couture past. For us at SACLÀB, the real story unfolded in the bags: a dialogue between heritage and Anderson’s modern vision.
Dior SS26 — Three Bags That Stole the Runway
Suede Shopper
Jonathan Anderson’s big accessories play this season is a top-handle shopper with a subtle crescent line and a structured base. The version shown on the runway came with a wide shoulder strap boldly spelling “DIOR” in metal letters, giving the otherwise fluid silhouette a graphic, street-ready punch. Hardware stays discreet elsewhere, creating a bag that’s both quietly cool and instantly recognisable.
Soft Lady Dior
The Lady Dior—forever an emblem of the house—arrived this season with a more relaxed attitude. The body is buttery and lightly padded, the cannage quilting softened, and the top handles slightly eased for comfort. Silver and pale gold hardware add refinement without flash. It’s still recognizably Lady Dior, but no longer so formal; it’s the bag you can carry from a day meeting straight to an evening event without looking over-styled.
Dior Bow Bag
A standout of the Spring–Summer 2026 collection, the Bow Bag channels Jonathan Anderson’s new bow motif into a sleek, envelope-inspired design. Its folded front tucks into the open top, while a curved handle with refined metal loops subtly nods to the Lady Dior. Available in two sizes—handheld, shoulder, or crossbody—it debuted in pale pink, blue, burgundy, and tan, as well as exotic editions, including brown crocodile and a luxurious Himalayan crocodile version.
Cannage-quilted Tote
A softly structured tote covered in voluminous Cannage quilting, this new carryall pairs ease with house signature texture. Delicate chain straps can be doubled or worn as a single long handle, often styled casually with just one strap in hand. A top zipper secures the open shape, making it practical without losing its couture polish.
Structured hard-shell clutch
A sleek, box-like evening clutch with a rigid, sculptural shell that nods to Dior’s couture precision. Minimal hardware keeps the focus on its clean geometry, while a discreet bow fastening and compact interior make it a statement piece for nightwear and red-carpet moments.
