On Motherhood
What does Mother’s Day mean to you personally? What would your ideal Mother’s Day look like?
Mother’s Day is a day filled with love, warmth, and connection—a time to celebrate with my children and my friends who are mothers. Ideally, it’s spent outdoors, enjoying good food, long walks, and simply being present.
Has becoming a mother changed the way you view fashion—or luxury?
Becoming a mother has definitely reshaped my approach to fashion. I gravitate toward effortless, functional luxury—pieces that adapt to my lifestyle rather than dictate it. Loafers over high heels, cool boots with jeans, tailored pants with sneakers—I love a refined yet laid-back aesthetic that works for everyday life.
Which bag from SACLÀB would you choose as a ‘treat yourself’ piece this Mother’s Day?
If I were to treat myself this Mother’s Day, I’d go for something vintage from Bottega Veneta, picked at SACLÀB, of course. It would definitely add to my collection of timeless classics.
Is there a style tip or mindset you hope to pass on to the next generation?
And if there’s one style tip I’d pass on, it’s this: stay true to yourself. Trends come and go, but authenticity never goes out of style. Embrace your uniqueness—imperfections are what make you, you. Don’t chase perfection; it doesn’t exist. You’re already perfect in your own way.

Has your taste in handbags changed over the years? If so, how?
I also have a deep appreciation for Bottega Veneta’s craftsmanship and understated elegance.
Viky, what are the key things you consider before investing in a luxury handbag?
I gravitate toward maxi tote bags—functional, effortlessly cool, and uncomplicated. As a mother of four, I need a bag that fits seamlessly into my lifestyle, whether I’m travelling or on the go. I love pieces with a story, something that feels timeless yet practical.
What motivates you to let go of a designer piece? Are there any signs that it’s time to part ways with a bag?
For me, a handbag is always a life partner—if the spark fades, it’s time to move on. Sometimes my style evolves, or I find myself drawn to a new direction, and that’s when I know it’s time to let go. But I always keep the true icons with me, and I’ll never part ways with my go-to travel bags.

Gold or Silver hardware? Hermès or Chanel? Micro bag or maxi tote?
And when it comes to hardware? Gold, always. As for the eternal debate—Hermès or Chanel? Hermès, without hesitation.
Imagine the ultimate collector’s bag landing in your wardrobe—what would it be?
If I were to choose the ultimate collector’s piece, it would definitely be a vintage Hermès Kelly or a classic Chanel—two icons that never lose their magic.
